Prayer from Lyudmila M., in Ukraine’s Kyiv region

Oct 31, 20242 min read

My name is Lyudmila. I live in the Kyiv region. Every Saturday we gather in the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SAD) prayer house for worship and joint prayers. We believe God’s Word and rely on God’s promises in our prayers. We pray: for the end of the war, and for the enemy to refuse to fight and to leave Ukraine; that believers should not be forced to kill, but instead be given alternative, non-military service; for the wounded and prisoners; for all those who defend the country to stay alive; for all those under occupation, and for the liberation of the occupied territories; for those who have lost their relatives and friends; for those who have lost their homes and property; for an end to the daily shelling of our territories;

Prayer for Ukraine (composed by Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski)

Sep 15, 20242 min read

Almighty and Great God, accept our gratitude for your boundless mercy towards us. Hear the supplication of our afflicted hearts for the land and people of Ukraine, as they confront foreign aggression and invasion. Open the eyes of those who have been overtaken by a spirit of deception and violence, that they be horrified by their works. Grant victory over the powers of evil that have arisen and bless Ukraine with your gifts of liberty, peace, tranquillity, and good fortune.
